To answer a previous comment, I really can’t compare my payout from ebay now to their previous plan, because I wasn’t promoting them before this.

Before my sites went down, I had 47 clicks, and was getting about $.14/click.  But from my understanding of this new system, they will be continously judging the quality of my traffic, and that $.14 may increase, or decrease.  If my traffic really stinks, some clicks could be worth $0.00.  Yes, I actually read their policy.  It’s a snoozer!

So the bottom line is that until the end of the month, the price showing in my EPN reports is not in stone.  At the end of the month, I believe they will adjust that month’s click pricing.  Does that make sense?

Okay, a little drama in the last few days.  SuperGreen Hosting (aka JustHost.com) suspended my account for going over my CPU usage.  Oops!  I was really bummed for a few days, and didn’t do anything, just stewed about it.

I went to the Mage forum and got tremendously wonderful help from Greg, his team, and the other mages.

All my sites were on this one host, so all my sites went down, and of course, so did my traffic and clicks.

In the last two days I have regrouped, and am moving forward with a better plan.  I hope all of you can learn from my mistakes, and avoid the headaches I may encounter along the way.

First of all, having my account suspended was in no way Greg’s fault.  I simply posted too many posts, with too many translation versions, I think.  Now I know  how to keep a closer eye on my usage limits. (I’m learning, too.)

I now have three hosting accounts:  SuperGreen, 1and1, and Hostnine.  I will spread my sites out amongst all three.  I will not translate at all.  I am starting with only a few hundred posts, and a couple sites have 5,000 posts.  Later, I will add more posts to the smaller sites.

In some ways, I’m glad I had the chance to start over.  It was very easy for me to develop a new “template” or layout of my posts so that my ebay ads show on top.  I also have chosen more lucrative keywords and ebay categories for my sites.  I’ve added proper tracking codes to all my sites.

Really, I’m only set back two weeks, and in the grand scheme, it’s not a big deal, although I was very disappointed, yes.

Funny thing, hours after I got one of my sites recreated, I already had an adsense click!  The traffic is still coming, but they are getting 404 errors.  I can see that my sites now have hundreds of pages indexed, but I think those are pages from the previous versions of my websites.  Basically, the indexing will have to start from scratch for all my sites.

So, it will be another couple weeks as I watch my indexing, traffic and clicks increase again.

I can say that the other mages in the forum continue to have increasing success, and that gives me assurance that I’m on the right track.

So, sorry this blog has come to a standstill as I get indexed again.  Bummer.

10.06.2009

It’s been almost 2 weeks since I launched my first WP Mage sites, and I’m starting to see some traffic.  I’m estimating about 300 visits total across those original 25 sites.  Most are coming from the search engines, and with the most obscure keywords!  Some of the search phrases are just hilariousand SO specific!  They include…

I mean, really, only with this system could I ever rank for such weird stuff.

Now, I know I’m not supposed to spend too much time checking stats, but let’s consider it research for this blog, so it’s important, right?  (Good, I’ve rationalized that away.)  FYI, when I check for how many pages are indexed with SEOQuake, it’s just a small fraction, like a couple hundred pages.  I have over 125,000 created thus far.  SO…..  the traffic should start to explode when more and more pages are indexed.

I haven’t done anything to speed up indexing apart from used the “index mage” for some of my sites.

So, all this traffic is nice and all, but it’s worthless unless it’s making me some money.  So far I’ve made around $5 in adsense.  Not really worthy of a happy dance or anything, but it’s a start.  I’ve gotten about 40 ebay clicks.  They show zero value so far because the money they earn me won’t be calculated and reported for a month.  So it’s impossible to say right now exactly how much money I’ve made with EPN.

I’ll keep you posted.

I’m a dollarnaire!  Doo dah, doo dah.

WP Mage Makes Indexing Easy

by Amy Kay Guenther

Okay, I just spent all of 30 seconds submitting this new blog to around 50 sites for quick indexing.  (Yes, I remembered to turn off the privacy setting.)

I was able to do it that quickly because right in the admin backend of my CPMage is “Index Mage.”  It’s hard to describe, but it basically fills in my site’s information and has quick links to submit it to several indexing sites as well as several social bookmarking sites.  I’ve used many tools for this purpose, but this is just way too easy.

CP Mage Training Videos

by Amy Kay Guenther

The training you get with the system is really outstanding.  I think even a newbie could follow it.  He has pdf’s of all the training, as well as a matching video.  I thought I would give an overview of the videos here.

Each video is lengthy.  I think a couple are around 40 minutes.  He’s very thorough!  Greg Jacobs is very well-spoken in plain English.  He doesn’t talk too techy, and explains things clearly.  He pauses the video so you don’t have to watch stuff load.  The videos are pure training content.

My Expectations

by Amy Kay Guenther

I thought I would write a post now about what I expect from WPMage.  I’m not so naive to think that it will make me rich in a month.  Nothing ever will.  And Greg Jacobs doesn’t promise that, either.  Rather, I expect what he says, but I base it even more on what other beta testers are seeing.  I read their success (and failures) in the forum that Greg provides for Mage buyers.

Basically, it will take 3-4 for my sites to even be indexed, and even then, longer for them to be fully indexed.  So in about 4 weeks, I expect the clicks to start trickling in, both from adsense and ebay.  At that point, realistically, I’ll be happy to make $50/week.  Then, it will continue to increase.  By week 8 or 9, I expect to make $100/week.  Some sites will get the google dance at this point, and some will sandboxed altogether, so the earnings will stay stagnant for several weeks.

About 4 months from now, though, Google will likely give my surviving sites better rankings, and then the earnings from these sites could easily bring in $500/month, or more.  I really have no idea.

Keep in mind, however, that as I earn money, I will reinvest a good portion of it back into the business to buy more domains, and create more of these sites.  That’s the key here, to do this en masse.

So, you can see, I have reasonable expectations.  And so far, I’ve never heard of any system that can get these results for so LITTLE effort.  That’s what I paid for, the ease of creating these sites.

I will definitely post as the money rolls in.  Oh, if anyone is looking for a system that will make you rich in a week, and doesn’t cost anything, don’t buy this.  You will have spend a little on domains and hosting, on top of the cost of the product.  I hope to earn back my investment in 2 months, if not sooner.

WPMage Review

by Amy Kay Guenther

My name is Amy, and I’m starting this blog to review my experience with WPMage by Greg Jacobs.

I was one of those who was invited to join the pre-launch last week, on September 22.  Here is what I’ve done so far…

I quickly created 25 sites with one install of CPmage on a new host.  It took about 10 minutes to install the CPMage in my cpanel.  (Someone experienced with .tar.gz and CPanel could do it in one minute.)  After that, I added new sites from the mage admin area.  It took about 3 minutes to get thousands of keywords for a site, and another 3 minutes to set up the site and install it.  Then the mage spends about 10-15 minutes on auto-pilot to generate thousands of posts.  Really, my work only takes about 4 minutes per site.  This is to get a bare minimum site up with unique articles and relevant adsense or ebay, amazon links.  I’ll discuss each step further in  future posts.

24 of my sites are on domains that I had sitting around.  Most are brand new, virgin domains.  A few are previous website flops.  One domain is an expired domain I bought for $5 following the WPmage system.  This domain is the one that I’m hoping will take off and bring in money the soonest.

It’s been 3 days since I put up all the sites.  In total, I think I posted close to 100,000 posts in 24 hours across all 25 sites!  That’s incredible!  Some sites will surely get deindexed, but some will survive.  This is a numbers game, with wp mage system, I feel like I finally have a chance of winning the numbers game.

All in all, so far, I LOVE the mage system.  I’ll go into much more detail each day as I wait 3-4 weeks for my sites to get indexed, and start getting those money-making clicks!
